Santokhgarh Accidents: Drivers Injured, Residents Concerned.webp

Una (HP), March 29 Three drivers sustained serious injuries after an LPG gas tanker collided with two tipper trucks in the Santokhgarh area of Himachal's Una district on Sunday morning, officials said.

The impact was so severe that the front sections of all three vehicles were badly damaged, and their drivers, trapped inside, sustained serious injuries, police said.

Upon receiving news of the incident, locals from the surrounding area rushed to the scene and initiated relief and rescue operations, successfully extricating the injured drivers.

Subsequently, all the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. The accident disrupted traffic on the Santokhgarh bridge for some time.

A police team arrived at the scene and worked to restore the traffic flow.

It is noteworthy that just one day prior, on the night of March 28, another major accident occurred at Gaushala Chowk in Santokhgarh, when a speeding truck lost control and crashed into a shop.

Although that incident resulted in no loss of life, it caused significant property damage.

These recurring accidents have created an atmosphere of fear and anxiety among the local residents, who argue that the administration must take strict measures to regulate the increasing traffic volume and curb speeding within the region.

Meanwhile, the Santokhgarh Police Post has initiated an investigation into the accident, and further legal action is currently underway.
