Mumbai, March 29 – "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge," starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, is one such movie where every song, character, and dialogue is etched in the memories of movie lovers.
Actress Sanya Malhotra was seen recreating the popular song "Zara sa Jhoom lu main" from the film in her latest Instagram Stories, proving that Bollywood celebrities also adore "DDLJ".
Standing in the snow, the actress was seen dancing to the track featuring SRK and Kajol.
"Zara sa Jhoom lu main" was sung by Asha Bhosle and Abhijeet Bhattacharya.
Recently, as "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" completed 30 years since its release, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol unveiled a bronze statue of their characters Raj and Simran at London's Leicester Square.
It is worth noting that "DDLJ" is the first Indian film to be honoured with a statue at Leicester Square, joining other iconic characters from historic films like Harry Potter, Mary Poppins, Paddington, and Singin' in the Rain, as well as Batman and Wonder Woman.
Regarding Sanya, she recently started the shoot for her romantic thriller "Sundar Poonam".
She shared details of the puja ceremony on her official Instagram account. Her post included photos of the clapboard and the aarti, along with candid stills of Sanya with her co-stars from her next film.
"#SundarPoonam – It begins," Sanya wrote in the caption.
Directed by Pulkit, "Sundar Poonam" also stars Aditya Rawal in a significant role.
The project was announced as part of Prime Video's 2026 slate.
It is believed that the movie is based on the 2025 honeymoon murder case, where a businessman from Indore was killed during a trip to Meghalaya shortly after his wedding.
Besides "Sundar Poonam", Sanya will also be seen in the upcoming dark comedy "Toaster". The Rajkummar Rao starrer will premiere on Netflix on April 15.
