The BJP's Jana Ashirwad Yatra reaches Morigaon District
As part of its outreach campaign ahead of the state assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party's Jana Ashirwad Yatra reached the Morigaon district today.
The yatra was organized in the Jagiroad Assembly constituency. Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP state president Dilip Saikia, and Minister Pijush Hazarika participated in the event.
Large crowds gathered along the roadside to welcome the leaders. People greeted the Chief Minister with traditional gamosas and flowers during the procession.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the overwhelming public participation in the Jana Ashirwad Yatra reflects the people's faith in Assam's journey of development. He also highlighted Jagiroad's growing importance, stating that the area is emerging as a key growth center with modern infrastructure and the Northeast's first semiconductor unit.
The Jana Ashirwad Yatra was launched by the BJP on Saturday from the Dhekiajuli Assembly constituency in Sonitpur district and is being carried out across the state.
