Noida (UP), March 28 The Noida International Airport, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, has adopted a logo inspired by the Sarus crane, which reflects Uttar Pradesh's cultural heritage along with its aspirations for modern, sustainable development.

According to a statement issued by the Uttar Pradesh government, the airport's logo features the Sarus crane – the state bird – as its central motif, symbolizing tradition, ecological balance, and regional identity.

The government said the logo has been designed with sleek and unified lines to represent speed, connectivity, and world-class infrastructure, in line with the airport's positioning as a major global aviation hub.

A blue-green gradient in the design reflects a blend of technology and environmental consciousness, underscoring the state's emphasis on sustainable and green development.

"The flying Sarus in the logo symbolizes progress, confidence, and an Uttar Pradesh moving towards new heights," the statement said, adding that it aligns with the vision of transforming the state into a global center for investment and connectivity.

The logo also seeks to project the concept of "development with heritage," highlighting the government's focus on preserving cultural identity alongside infrastructure growth.

Officials said the symbol is aimed at giving the airport a distinctive international identity, positioning it not only as a transport hub but also as a representation of culture, modernity, and sustainability.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had approved the logo in December 2020, envisioning it as a marker of the state's growth trajectory and rising global profile, according to officials.
