
March 18, New Delhi – Saudi Arabia will host a consultative meeting of Foreign Ministers from several Arab and Islamic countries in Riyadh on Wednesday evening.
The kingdom's Foreign Ministry stated that the meeting will focus on ways to strengthen regional security and stability.
Meanwhile, Iran continues to launch attacks on Gulf nations. Saudi Arabia intercepted a ballistic missile near Prince Sultan Air Base, which hosts U.S. military personnel.
The Saudi defence ministry said on Wednesday that "A ballistic missile launched towards the Alkharj Governorate was intercepted and destroyed, with debris falling around Prince Sultan Air Base, causing no damage."
Kuwait also responded to attacks on its territory, with its air defenses intercepting rockets and drones.
Kuwait's military posted on X that its air defenses had successfully intercepted the hostile attacks. The General Staff of the Army noted that any explosion sounds heard are the result of interception operations and reminded the public to follow all security and safety instructions issued by the authorities.
