Union Minister of Communications, Jyotiraditya Scindia, met with the German Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernization, Karsten Wildberger, in New Delhi. The Ministry of Communications stated that the meeting focused on advancing cooperation in telecommunications and digital transformation under the broader Indo-German Strategic Partnership.
During the meeting, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation across emerging domains, including 5G/5G Advanced, early engagement on 6G standardization, network modernization, including collaboration on secure and sovereign 6G networks, and others. The meeting is significant because it followed the signing of the Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) in January this year during the India-Germany Summit.
India and Germany also reaffirmed their shared commitment to building trusted networks, resilient supply chains, and future-ready digital infrastructure through sustained engagement under the JDI framework.
