Officials visit SU-30MKI crash site in Karbi Anglong
Senior officials from the district administration and security agencies visited the crash site of the Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter aircraft in the hilly region of Karbi Anglong district in Assam as search and assessment operations continue.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Karbi Anglong, Pushpraj Singh, stated that the area has been cordoned off and teams of the Indian Air Force (IAF) are carrying out search operations at the site.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner of Karbi Anglong, Aranyak Saikia, who also visited the crash site, informed that search operations are underway in the area. He stated that specialized experts have reached the location to assess the situation, while the civil administration is extending all necessary support to assist the ongoing operation.
