BJP finalizes seat sharing with AGP and BPF
Ahead of the Assam Assembly election, state Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the BJP has finalized the seat-sharing arrangement between the saffron party, Asom Gana Parisha (AGP), and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) for the upcoming elections.
He stated that the AGP would receive seats similar to those allocated in the previous elections, adding that final approval from the party high command is awaited.
Regarding the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), the Chief Minister said that the BPF and the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) should arrive at a mutual understanding on seat allocation.
