
March 03, New Delhi – The United States embassy in Riyadh confirmed an attack on its premises and urged people to stay away, announcing that it would remain closed on Tuesday.
Earlier, a Saudi defence ministry spokesman said that two drones struck the US embassy early Tuesday, causing a small fire at the compound.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump warned that the United States would retaliate “soon” following the strike by suspected Iranian drones in the Saudi capital.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s military intercepted two ballistic missiles early Tuesday morning. The Qatari defence ministry said the “threat was dealt with immediately upon detection.”
