Hazaribag, March 18 Jharkhand DGP Tadasha Mishra reviewed arrangements on Wednesday to ensure peaceful Ram Navami celebrations in Hazaribag, and urged all communities to maintain unity during the festivities.
Mishra met senior officers, including Hazaribag SP Anjani Anjan and Deputy Commissioner Shashi Prakash Singh, and assessed the preparations ahead of Ram Navami.
"I hope Ram Navami celebrations will be entirely peaceful in Hazaribag. I would request all communities to maintain unity and help each other during the processions," Mishra told reporters here.
"People should also cooperate with the administration during the festival... There has been a history of conflicts during Ram Navami celebrations in Hazaribag, and that should not happen," she asserted.
The DGP also said that more police personnel will be deployed than requested by the district authorities during Ram Navami, which is likely to be celebrated on March 26.
