Security Review in Rajouri-Poonch: White Knight Corps Strengthens Grid.webp

Jammu, March 24 A senior Army officer visited the headquarters of the Romeo Force on Tuesday to review the prevailing security situation and strengthen the counter-terrorism grid in the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

The visit by Lieutenant General P K Mishra, General Officer Commanding of the White Knight Corps based in Jammu, to the Romeo Force headquarters in Rajouri, comes amid heightened vigilance following recent attempts by terrorists from across the border to infiltrate.

On March 10, Army troops gunned down a Pakistani terrorist belonging to the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit during an unsuccessful attempt to infiltrate into this side in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri.

"The GOC of the White Knight Corps visited the Romeo Force to review the security situation and strengthen the counter-terrorism grid. The visit focused on operational preparedness and strengthened coordination mechanisms across formations," the White Knight Corps said in a post on X.

The Army said that Lieutenant General Mishra emphasized exemplary operational conduct, sustained readiness, and heightened vigilance to ensure robust protection.
