
Seoni (MP), April 7 Two people, including a woman, were killed when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle in Seoni district, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday morning, a police official said.
The incident occurred near the Shrivani Filter Plant intersection on National Highway 44, under the Bandol police station area, 20 km from the district headquarters, they said.
The deceased were identified as Taruna Damahe (48), a resident of Bhandara in Maharashtra, and Prafull Thackeray (22), a resident of Rampaili in MP's Balaghat, according to Manoj Janghela, in-charge of the Bandol police station.
An unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle and fled the scene.
Janghela said that Prafull and Taruna died instantly due to severe head injuries.
The driver fled the scene after the accident, and a search is underway for him.
The police have handed over the victims' bodies to their families after post-mortem, and a case has been registered in connection with the incident.
