
February 20, New Delhi – India has joined the US-led Pax Silica initiative, with US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, describing New Delhi’s participation as a significant strategic move to advance cooperation between the two countries on artificial intelligence and secure supply chains.
Sergio Gor stated that India’s entry into Pax Silica is not just symbolic – it is strategic and essential. He noted that India has made important progress in developing critical mineral processing capacity and called the summit “very impactful.”
The Pax Silica Declaration was signed in the presence of Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, and Jacob Helberg, US Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs.
