The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for thunderstorms with hail over Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Vidarbha for today. The IMD has forecast thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Interior Karnataka for today. Similar conditions are expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha, Telangana, West Bengal, and Sikkim today. The weather agency also predicted thunderstorms with lightning over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Rajasthan until tomorrow.
