Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla have extended greetings to the people of Odisha on Odisha Day.
In a social media post, Mr. Shah said, "Odisha, blessed with a rich cultural heritage and the divine blessings of Lord Jagannath, shines as the pride of the country." The Home Minister wished that the state would achieve new heights of progress and prosperity in its journey towards a developed India.
The Lok Sabha Speaker said that the state, enriched with a prosperous cultural heritage, a glorious history, and nature's unparalleled bounty, further strengthens the identity of the nation.
Mr. Birla said that the traditions, arts, literature, and folk life of Odisha serve as a beautiful example of the diversity and richness of Indian culture.
The Speaker said that the state is continuously setting new benchmarks of development through the diligent and resolute efforts of the hardworking people of Utkal.
He wished that Odisha would become even more prosperous, strong, and self-reliant in the times ahead, reaching new heights of progress.
