Union Home Minister campaigns in Nalbari
Nalbari, March 29: The Union Home Minister arrived in Nalbari today, where he campaigned for BJP-led alliance candidates in all three Assembly constituencies of the district. His visit has generated enthusiasm among party leaders and workers.
Addressing the gathering, Shah said that in the coming days, the BJP government in Assam will implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and impose a ban on polygamy.
He further criticized the Congress for the unrest in Assam during the 80s. He also stated that in the past 10 years, the Narendra Modi-led government has brought peace to the state after signing several peace accords with militant groups.
