The players from the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team, who recently made history in the Ranji Trophy, met Jay Shah to share the special moment following their memorable victory.
The players had expressed a heartfelt desire to meet the ICC Chairman and acknowledge the role his leadership played in strengthening cricket in Jammu and Kashmir during his tenure as Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
During the interaction, the players thanked Shah for taking the time to meet the team and for encouraging them as they celebrated their historic achievement.
In a social media post, BCCI president Mithun Manhas said that the feat would not have been possible without the support of Jay Shah. "Thank you for taking the time to encourage the boys and lift their spirits," Manhas said.
He also congratulated the entire J&K team and the cricket fraternity for scripting a remarkable chapter in Indian domestic cricket.
