Shimla, March 27 A religious figure was arrested on Friday for allegedly touching women inappropriately on Mall Road in Shimla city, officials said.
The action followed the circulation of a video showing him touching the shoulders of women walking on Mall Road, they said.
Police have registered a case against Narayan Das, 36, who is from Rajasthan, and legal action is being taken against him, police said.
The accused had visited Shimla for the first time between April and June last year, police said, adding that he had arrived in Shimla on Thursday and was returning to Kalka on Friday.
