Mumbai, April 8 Maharashtra Deputy CM and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde on Wednesday urged party workers and leaders to work together to strengthen the party organization, warning that poor performance would cost them their positions.
Shinde told party workers that the elections are over, and it is time to focus on expanding the organization, according to a statement.
The Shiv Sena chief also instructed MLAs, MPs, chief coordinators, co-coordinators, and Lok Sabha coordinators of the party to reach out to grassroots Shiv Sainiks, work promptly on public issues, and contribute actively in expanding the party.
He warned that party office-bearers would not be able to retain their positions if their work is not visible. Instructions were also given to appoint booth-level agents (BLAs) for a detailed review of voter lists.
Recently, Shiv Sena appointed chief coordinators, divisional coordinators, and Lok Sabha coordinators. Shinde convened a crucial online review and guidance meeting of these office-bearers on Wednesday.
He directed ministers, MLAs, and MPs to work as party workers irrespective of their positions in the party hierarchy.
Taking into account the restructuring of constituencies, Shinde provided a roadmap to contact heads regarding upcoming local self-government, assembly, and Lok Sabha elections.
He emphasised that Lok Sabha coordinators hold separate meetings for each assembly segment in their areas and send daily reports along with photographs for his personal review.
Regarding the SIR drive conducted by the Election Commission, Shinde asked chief coordinators to inform him about the number of BLAs (Booth Level Assistants) appointed, the frequency of visits to their constituencies, and the number of meetings conducted so far.
He said failure to submit work reports or perform will lead to their removal from posts.
Considering the division of constituencies, Shinde instructed that two BLAs each should be appointed for thoroughly reviewing voter lists, and daily meetings should be conducted.
He also emphasised that every office-bearer works to strengthen the Shiv Sena organization and make it more vibrant.
Shinde also asked the Sena chief coordinators to visit constituencies, convene meetings, and review the voters' list.
