Assam is emerging as a leading model in rural development and agricultural growth: Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, launched several welfare and digital initiatives in Assam today, including the Mukhya Mantri Utkarsh Yojana, Krishi Sarathi App, Samaveshi Ajeevika Yojana, and Rural One App. The program focused on empowering farmers and rural communities through technology and direct support. Agricultural equipment was distributed to farmers, while housing assistance was provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin. Addressing the gathering, the union minister stated that Assam is emerging as a leading model in rural development and agricultural growth, assuring continued support from the center.
