
April 7, New Delhi — A gunman was killed and two others were injured in a shootout with police outside the Israeli consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, on Tuesday.
The Turkish Interior Ministry said the gunman "had connections with a terrorist group." One of the other two assailants, who are brothers, has a prior drug record, the ministry added.
Turkish media reported that three suspects were involved. They were armed with long guns, dressed in camouflage, and carrying backpacks.
