Secretary West Sibi George met with Malta's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ian Borg. In a post on social media, the Ministry of External Affairs announced that they discussed ways to strengthen the ongoing cooperation between India and Malta, while also expanding the scope of bilateral engagement. The Ministry also stated that the two sides exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Mr. George also met with the Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta, Brigadier Clinton J O'Neill, and they discussed ways to increase defence and security cooperation between India and Malta.
