Gangtok, April 6 The Sikkim unit of the BJP celebrated the party's 47th foundation day on Monday with events held across the state.
According to a statement, the celebrations took place at the party's Gangtok city office, the Singtam state office, and district offices in Namchi, Geyzing, and Soreng.
State vice presidents, general secretaries, senior party leaders, district presidents, office bearers, and party workers attended the events.
The events began with the hoisting of the BJP flag, followed by meetings that discussed the party's organizational growth and ideological principles.
During the events, the party felicitated three BJP candidates who were unopposed in the ongoing municipal elections.
The events concluded with party workers reiterating their commitment to further expand the BJP's presence in the state, the statement said.
