
New Delhi, February 18 Silver prices rose by Rs 7,667 to Rs 2,36,450 per kilogram in futures trading on Wednesday, as participants increased their positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased by Rs 7,667 or 3.35 per cent to Rs 2,36,450 per kg, with a trading turnover of 3,503 lots.
Analysts said that the rise in silver prices was due to the fresh positions built up by participants.
Globally, silver was trading at USD 75.83 per ounce in New York, up 3.14 per cent.
