Singapore Partnerships Aim to Boost Uttar Pradesh Infrastructure.webp

February 23, New Delhi — Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on a three-day visit to Singapore, aimed at attracting sovereign and institutional capital into digital infrastructure, aviation-related logistics, and green industrial corridors.

During his visit, Yogi Adityanath met with Teo Chee Hean, Chairman of Temasek, and his team. They discussed opportunities for sovereign investment participation in Uttar Pradesh across data centres, logistics hubs, renewable energy, and industrial infrastructure, highlighting the state’s policy framework and fast-track clearances for global investors.

The Chief Minister also met Lim Chow Kiat, Chief Executive Officer of GIC. They explored avenues for long-term institutional investments in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in infrastructure, logistics, industrial parks, and sustainable urban development projects.

Yogi Adityanath appreciated GIC’s existing partnerships in the state, including its association with IRB on the Ganga Expressway project and collaboration with Greenko.

The Chief Minister also had a productive meeting with Tan Su Shan, Chief Executive Officer of DBS Group, along with her senior leadership team. They discussed strengthening financial cooperation, facilitating project financing, and supporting investment flows into infrastructure and growth sectors in Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted on X, writing:

"Visited ITE Headquarters and ITE College Central in Singapore today. Held detailed discussions with ITE Education Services (ITEES) on collaboration in technical and vocational education and TVET knowledge sharing, particularly in aviation, logistics, advanced manufacturing, and data centre operations, to strengthen workforce readiness in Uttar Pradesh. Also apprised the ITEES team that Uttar Pradesh is in the process of establishing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zones in every district, which will require strong partnerships for skill training and capacity building."

In another post on X, he wrote:

"Reviewed a detailed presentation by ITE on skill development and training and visited the facilities at ITE College Central in Singapore today. Witnessed the signing of MoUs aimed at strengthening collaboration in technical and vocational education, aviation skills, and industry-aligned training to support Uttar Pradesh’s expanding infrastructure and employment ecosystem. Assured that Uttar Pradesh will take these MoUs forward and work towards their early implementation. Subsequently toured the campus and Aviation Hub facilities to gain insights into industry-integrated skill development models."
