The Congress party has released a list of six candidates for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections. Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vem Narender Reddy have been nominated from Telangana. Meanwhile, Phulo Devi Netam is contesting from Chhattisgarh, Karamvir Singh Boudh from Haryana, Anurag Sharma from Himachal Pradesh, and M Christopher Tilak from Tamil Nadu.

Nominations for the 37 Rajya Sabha seats across ten states will close today. Voting will take place on the 16th of this month. The seats in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh are becoming vacant.
