Social Media Claims Debunked: MEA Refutes Iran Concerns.webp

March 20, New Delhi — The Ministry of External Affairs' Fact Check Unit has refuted social media claims that India had issued a warning to Iran regarding escalating tensions in the region.

A video clip circulating on social media purportedly shows Randhir Jaiswal, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, stating during a press briefing that the warning reflects growing concerns about security, trade routes, and geopolitical influence in West Asia.

The Ministry has dismissed these claims as false and unfounded.

Furthermore, a series of posts on social media have claimed that Russia is providing discounted oil to Pakistan but not to India.

The Ministry has also dismissed these claims as fake and has urged people to remain vigilant against false and unfounded posts circulating on social media.
