The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has withdrawn the social science textbook "Exploring Society: India and Beyond" for Grade 8 (Part -II), which included a chapter titled "The Role of the Judiciary in Our Society."
In a public apology issued this morning, the NCERT stated that the entire book has been withdrawn and is no longer available.
The Director and Members of NCERT have issued an unconditional and unqualified apology for the said chapter.
