Ranchi, March 9 A 26-year-old army soldier was found hanging in a bicycle shed in Ranchi on Monday, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Aman Kumar (26).
His body was found in the bicycle shed near HMTP Golchakkar, under the jurisdiction of the Dhurwa police station.
"We sent the body for post-mortem examination at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). Initially, it appears to be a case of suicide, although his family members suspect foul play. The soldier had come to Ranchi on leave," Vimal Kindo, the officer in charge of the Dhurwa police station, said.
The police have recovered a lighter, rope, a mobile phone, and cigarettes from the scene, Kindo said.
Investigation is underway, he added.
