New Delhi, March 12 Somany Ceramics Ltd said on Thursday that production at its Kassar plant in Haryana may be partially affected due to restricted gas supply following the conflict in West Asia.
The company has received a communication from GAIL (India) Ltd stating that gas supplies to industrial consumers will be maintained at 80 per cent of the average gas consumption over the past six months, and any "overdrawal" will be invoiced according to the applicable contractual terms and conditions, effective from March 12, 2026, Somany Ceramics said in a regulatory filing.
This development is due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia and its impact on global energy markets, and according to the revised supply regulations issued pursuant to the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas notification dated March 9, 2026, it added.
"In view of the above, the company's plant located at Kassar, Bahadurgarh, Haryana will receive restricted gas supply. This may have a partial impact on the company's production activities at the plant," the filing said.
Somany Ceramics said that it is actively evaluating the situation and taking necessary measures to minimize the impact.
Considering the company's existing inventory levels, supplies are continuing in the normal course of business, it added.
