Mumbai, April 9 Actress Somy Ali reminisced about the past, recalling the time when magazines tried to pit her and the actress Zeba Bakhtiar against each other.

Speaking about the 90s era of Bollywood, Somy highlighted how it was a time when social media didn't exist, and information about actors was exclusively for fans. She further mentioned how tabloids capitalized on this situation.

"So, for all of you young people who grew up with social media and can literally see celebrities saying things and sharing their lives with you, we 90s teenagers didn't have that luxury, and the tabloids worldwide took full advantage of this."

She added, "This #tbt takes us back to my first meeting with the stunning Zeba Bakhtiar in 1993. Given that we were both Pakistani born, while I was raised in the U.S., the magazines decided to do what they did best: pit us against each other, but to their dismay, it didn't work."

She added, "And to this day, I have the utmost respect for her, and consider our first encounter to be one of my fondest memories. Zeba is and always will be one of the most beautiful people I have ever met, and I only have fond memories of her. I wish her all the best."

The film was directed by Randhir Kapoor and was originally envisioned by Raj Kapoor.

Talking about the plot of the movie, it revolves around a love story across borders and heavily focuses on emotions and drama.

The film's music, composed by Ravindra Jain, became hugely popular. Songs like ‘Main Hoon Khushrang Henna’ and ‘Der Na Ho Jaye Kahin’ became chartbusters.
