Bhubaneswar, April 5 The Odisha Police arrested two individuals and seized 3,750 bottles of cough syrup, worth approximately Rs 20 lakh, from their possession in the Sonepur district on Sunday, officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted a van in Sonepur town and seized the cough syrup bottles, which were hidden beneath bottles of soft drinks, SP Narayan Nayak said.
The cough syrup bottles were found in 150 concealed compartments in the vehicle, he added.
Further investigation is underway.
