Guwahati, April 11 – Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's explosive 78 off 26 balls and Dhruv Jurel's steady 81 off 43 deliveries propelled Rajasthan Royals to a six-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in match 16 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, at the Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Friday.

Sooryavanshi led the charge with aggressive shots against Bhuvneshwar Kumar, scoring four boundaries and finishing the over with a shot over cover-point. He continued to dominate, hitting boundaries against Hazlewood. Jurel provided crucial support, contributing 13 runs before edging a delivery. Sooryavanshi quickly reached a half-century, hitting back-to-back sixes.

Dhruv Jurel joined Sooryavanshi, hitting boundaries with ease. RR reached 97/1 in the Power-play, their best in IPL history. They crossed 100 in 6.2 overs, the fastest in their IPL history.

Sooryavanshi was eventually dismissed by Krunal Pandya, handing a catch to Virat Kohli. Jurel remained unbeaten on 81, helping RR chase down 202 with two overs to spare.
