On the occasion of the birth anniversary of freedom fighters Sidho-Kanho, the great leaders of the Hul rebellion in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid floral tribute at their statue at Sidho-Kanho Park in Morabadi, Ranchi.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is a land of bravehearts, where the tribal community has historically fought to protect jal (water), jungle (forest), and zameen (land). He described the courage and sacrifice of Sidho-Kanho as inspirational and called upon people to follow their ideals.
Meanwhile, the birth anniversary of Sidho-Kanho is being observed with reverence at their birthplace, Bhognadih in Sahibganj. Thousands of people, including their descendants, paid homage through traditional rituals. Special programmes have been organized by the district administration at Panchkathiya and Bhognadih in Barhait to remember their bravery and sacrifice.
