
New Delhi, February 17 Guar gum prices rose by Rs 9 to Rs 9,965 per quintal in futures trading on Tuesday, as speculators increased their holdings amid strong spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for the March contract edged up by Rs 9, or 0.09%, to Rs 9,965 per quintal in 59,375 lots. It had closed at Rs 9,956 per quintal in the previous session.
Analysts said that after observing a firm trend in the physical market, traders increased their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
