
Hyderabad, February 22 – Three people were injured when a Ferrari car went out of control in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Road No. 45 near the residence of popular Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna.
The Ferrari, reportedly worth between Rs 3.5 and 4 crore, lost control and hit an electric pole on the median before colliding with a car coming from the opposite direction. Several other cars and vehicles behind the Ferrari were also damaged in the collision.
Three people were injured in the accident, which caused a major traffic jam on the busy road.
Upon receiving information, the police rushed to the scene and transported the injured to a private hospital. Their condition is reported to be stable.
Traffic police diverted traffic for some time and then cleared the jam.
The Jubilee Hills Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
The Ferrari, which was reportedly heading from Jubilee Hills to Kondapur, was allegedly being driven at a high speed. At least three cars and a few two-wheelers were damaged in the collision.
Preliminary investigation suggests that a brake and engine malfunction led to the crash. Transport authorities are conducting an inspection.
The driver tested negative for alcohol. He was on his way to attend a wedding.
The Ferrari is registered in the name of E. Venkata Raja Reddy.
Meanwhile, a farmer was killed in a hit-and-run case in Pahadi Shareef, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, in the early hours of the day.
According to police, the farmer was allegedly hit by an auto-rickshaw in the Sardar Nagara area.
The incident occurred when the farmer was returning home after finishing work in his field. He sustained serious head injuries and succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
