March 14, Srinagar: A National Lok Adalat was organized at the Anantnag District Court Complex, providing an effective platform for the amicable settlement of various pending cases.
The Lok Adalat was inaugurated by Principal District and Sessions Judge Anantnag, Tahir Khurshid Raina, who emphasized the importance of Lok Adalats in ensuring timely and cost-effective justice for the public.
Several benches were established to handle different categories of cases, including civil disputes, bank recovery matters, motor accident claims, and other cases amenable to settlement.
A large number of litigants and advocates participated in the proceedings, and many cases were resolved on the spot through mutual consent, helping to reduce the burden on courts and promote harmony between the parties.
Officials stated that such initiatives strengthen the justice delivery system by encouraging alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and ensuring quicker relief to the people.
