Los Angeles, April 8 – Hollywood star Tom Holland has shared fresh details about his upcoming film, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'. While the film may have officially wrapped production last year, the actor has revealed that additional filming was recently completed.

According to 'Variety', the actor stated that this additional filming was done to "add more humor" and "strengthen the villain's storyline".

The actor, who was in London to shoot additional scenes for his highly anticipated film, told GQ, "We can confidently say that the material we're creating is unnecessary. The movie works perfectly as it is. We're simply adding a few finishing touches in certain areas."

He further added, "We're finding ways to add a bit more humor. We're also introducing a new take on the villain's storyline and some really fun elements."

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is set to be released on July 31, according to 'Variety'. Its trailer, which was released last month, quickly went viral, becoming the first movie in history to reach 1 billion views.

The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, features Tom Holland as Peter Parker four years after the events of 'No Way Home', when the world has forgotten that he exists. However, as a powerful new threat emerges, Spidey is forced to suit up again and finds himself working alongside Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Jon Bernthal's Punisher.

'Brand New Day' also stars Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Tramell Tillman, and Michael Mando. However, before 'Spider-Man', Tom Holland has another blockbuster hitting theaters, Christopher Nolan's epic 'The Odyssey', which is set to release on July 17. He described the film, in which he stars alongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya, as an "absolute masterpiece".

The actor particularly praised Nolan's commitment to practical effects.
