
A volleyball tournament organized by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 137 Battalion in collaboration with the Volleyball Association Udhampur concluded successfully at the SIKS Government Higher Secondary School.
The final match of the tournament was played between Barta Volleyball Club and Roun Domail Volleyball Club, with players showcasing energetic performances, skillful rallies, and strong team coordination.
Several dignitaries attended the event, including MLA Udhampur West Pawan Kumar Gupta, Commandant M.K. Sicon, Second-in-Command Kartar Singh, Deputy Commandants R.L. Meena and Suresh, DySP Headquarters Prahlad Sharma, SHO Udhampur Abhijeet Sirohi, and Principal of the school Ashok Padha. Officials from the Volleyball Association, players, CRPF personnel, and local residents were also present.
Locals praised the CRPF's initiative in organizing the tournament as part of the Civic Action Programme and urged authorities to hold more such sports activities to encourage youth participation and promote sportsmanship.
Meanwhile, the 137 Battalion of the CRPF also organized a blood donation camp at its SRTC Campus in Udhampur as part of the Civic Action Programme.
Approximately 50 CRPF officers and jawans voluntarily donated blood during the camp. Officials said that this initiative reflects the force's commitment to social responsibility and strengthening ties with the local community.
