Srinagar, April 10 Two civilians and a firefighter were injured after a fire broke out in a religious school here, officials said.

The fire occurred in a four-story building of the Darul Uloom (an Islamic religious school) in the Hyderpora area here in the evening, they said.

Officials stated that the attic and the fourth floor of the L-shaped building were on fire.

A firefighting operation was launched, and after sustained efforts by the Fire and Emergency Services teams, the fire was brought under control, the officials said.

Two civilians and a firefighter were injured in the incident, they said, adding that the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage to the property are still being investigated.
