
Hyderabad, April 1 – The makers of the eagerly awaited upcoming film 'Srinivasa Mangapuram', directed by Ajay Bhupathi and starring Telugu star Mahesh Babu's nephew Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, have now revealed that veteran actor Naresh will be playing a character called Swatantra Babu in the film.
In a post on its X account, Vyjayanthi Movies, the production house producing the film, wrote: "A character that lives and celebrates life in its own way. We are pleased to present the ever-versatile Navarasaraya @ItsActorNaresh as Swatantra Babu from #SrinivasaMangapuram. This will be another remarkable role in his diverse filmography."
The first look poster of the actor in the film shows him holding a bottle of alcohol in one hand and a tape recorder in the other. He appears to be in a cheerful mood and gives the impression that he is dancing.
It may be recalled that the unit of the film had wrapped up the important third schedule of the film in the first week of March this year. Sources had said that key scenes featuring Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, Rasha Thadani, and other principal cast members were filmed during this period. With the completion of the third schedule, nearly 60% of the film’s shoot had been completed. The production is progressing at a brisk pace, with the makers maintaining a strong creative focus and scale, sources informed.
The film has generated significant interest among fans and film enthusiasts for a number of reasons.
The film is being directed by Ajay Bhupathi, who has earned critical acclaim for his raw and immersive storytelling in the superhit films 'RX 100' and 'Mangalavaram'. The fact that Ajay Bhupathi is directing this film has also attracted a number of fans.
The film also marks the big-screen debut of Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, who carries forward the illustrious legacy of Superstars Krishna and Mahesh Babu.
Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni is being paired with Rasha Thadani, the daughter of Bollywood star Raveena Tandon, who is making her debut in Telugu cinema with this film.
Well-known actor and producer Mohan Babu will be playing a character called Venkatappaya Naidu in the film.
Presented by noted producer Ashwini Dutt and produced by P. Kiran under the banner of Chandamama Kathalu, the film is being mounted with strong creative vision and high production values.
The film boasts an impressive technical team. Two-time National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music for the film. The cinematography is by Jayakrishna Gummadi, and the editing is by Madhav Kumar Gullapalli.
