Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan stated that providing quality education is the best way to make people self-reliant and empowered. He was inaugurating the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of St. Berchmans College, Changanassery, in Kerala. Addressing the gathering, the Vice President noted that while India once largely depended on technologies developed elsewhere, the country is now steadily advancing in creating its own technological innovations.
