Madurai, (Tamil Nadu), March 7 Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Saturday claimed that AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami would face a similar fate as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, at the hands of the BJP.
Palaniswami will remain the AIADMK chief until the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, and later the BJP will "oust him from office," Stalin alleged, calling Palaniswami an epitome of "betrayal".
"The BJP will remove Palaniswami from the top position of general secretary in the AIADMK and appoint a leader of their choice in that position," he said after welcoming numerous supporters of O Panneerselvam into the DMK at a rally organized in Madurai.
The expelled AIADMK leader had joined the DMK along with his former MP son O Ravindranath, in the presence of Stalin on February 27 in Chennai.
