April 1, New Delhi: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Wednesday that the country's Foreign Minister will meet with representatives from 35 nations this week to discuss reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
PM Starmer said the talks will focus on protecting ships and seafarers, ensuring free navigation, and restoring the flow of vital goods through the strategic waterway, which has faced disruptions amid regional tensions.
The initiative comes amid growing international concerns over the security of key shipping routes in the Gulf and the escalating Iran-Israel conflict.
