Jaipur, March 26 Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma chaired a meeting of all political parties on Thursday to review the supply of LPG, petroleum products, and fertilizers in the state.
Sharma assured that there is adequate availability of petrol, diesel, LPG, and fertilizers in the state and urged people not to panic. He said that the state government and administration are maintaining strict vigilance to ensure smooth supply and effective distribution.
He called for collective responsibility and sought cooperation from all political parties as well as the people in curbing illegal hoarding and black marketing.
"The chief minister said that high-level monitoring committees have been formed at the state and district levels, involving collectors, SPs, and officials from oil companies. Helplines including 181, 112, and 14435 are operational round-the-clock to address public concerns," a release said.
He also directed gas distribution companies to expedite the installation of domestic PNG connections and promote its use among commercial establishments such as hospitals, hotels, and restaurants.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara said that OTP-based delivery of domestic LPG has been made mandatory, along with compulsory entry in consumer passbooks.
Leaders from various political parties suggested regular monitoring of supply and expansion of PNG infrastructure, among other measures.
Later, Sharma also interacted via video conference with non-resident Rajasthanis (NRR) and NRI associations and appreciated their role in assisting people of the state stuck in Gulf countries. The state government is committed to extending all possible support to people who are stuck in these countries, he said.
