Jaipur, March 12 Rajasthan Minister of State for Home, Jawahar Singh Bedham, criticised state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra on Thursday, accusing him of trying to mislead the public through false claims.
Bedham said the state government is committed to ensuring the smooth supply of essential commodities and has directed officials to ensure that citizens face no inconvenience.
"Dotasra is seeking opportunities to confuse the people of Rajasthan and is more focused on political point-scoring than development. Engaging in petty politics at such a time is unacceptable," the minister said. He added that the government is working with full dedication towards the welfare of the people.
The minister was reacting to remarks made by the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief earlier in the day regarding disruptions in LPG supply.
Dotasra had claimed that the central and state governments failed to manage the situation, leaving people to handle the crisis alone.
"Just as people were made to stand in queues during demonetisation, they are now being forced to queue up for gas cylinders," Dotasra told reporters at the party's war room here.
