
Jaipur, March 23 Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma on Monday directed officials to take strict action against hardcore criminals, cyber offenders, and drug traffickers during a statewide crime review meeting.
The meeting was held at the police headquarters through video conferencing and attended by range inspector generals of police and district superintendents (SPs).
The DGP reviewed law and order, public safety, and serious crime cases and issued directions for prompt and effective action to curb both conventional and cyber crimes.
He asked officials to intensify action against narcotics and speed up operations of the anti-narcotics task force.
Sharma also directed for enhancing field-level monitoring and quick response, an official statement said.
He instructed SPs to conduct regular inspections of police stations and ensure quality investigations. Focus was also laid on police welfare, including visits to police lines and improving basic facilities.
The DGP called for round-the-clock monitoring of social media and strict action against elements promoting criminal activities online.
