New Delhi, March 24 Sterlite Electric announced on Tuesday the appointment of Frederic Andre M Trefois as its Group Chief Executive Officer.
He previously served as an independent, non-executive director on the company's board, according to a company statement. He has experience in managing and overseeing companies and will lead Sterlite Electric's next phase of growth.
Pratik Agarwal, Managing Director, Sterlite Electric, said in the statement, "Frederic brings a global perspective, disciplined execution, and deep industry insight at a time when grids worldwide must evolve to meet complexity and scale. His leadership will help Sterlite Electric grow while reinforcing our role in enabling reliable, affordable, and sustainable power."
Prior to joining Sterlite Electric, Frederic was associated with Sécheron Hasler group and SNC-Lavalin Inc.
Frederic, who is an engineer by training, holds degrees in civil engineering, the statement added.
Sterlite Electric Ltd (formerly known as Sterlite Power Transmission Limited) is a manufacturer of capital goods and a provider of system integration solutions, specializing in the power transmission and distribution (Power T&D) industry for both domestic and international markets.
Its product portfolio includes a wide range of overhead conductors, power cables, optical ground wire (OPGW), along with the provision of Master System Integration (MSI) services.
