April 10, New Delhi — U.S. President Donald Trump has accused Iran of failing to allow oil traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and of violating the terms of their two-week ceasefire agreement.

In a series of social media posts that sparked fresh concerns about the fragile truce, President Trump also warned Iran against imposing tolls on ships passing through the crucial waterway.

Iran and the United States had stated that the strait between the Gulf and the Indian Ocean would reopen after the two-week truce was announced on Tuesday. However, only 10 vessels have passed through since the West Asia war ceasefire took effect.

Tensions have further escalated after Iran suggested imposing tolls on ships, although Trump has made similar suggestions and even discussed joint tolls with Tehran.
