Strait of Hormuz: Trump Issues Deadline, Threatens Civilian Infrastructure.webp

April 06, New Delhi: U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran, setting a final deadline for Tehran to reopen the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.

Trump threatened to target civilian infrastructure, including bridges and power plants, if the Strait is not reopened by Tuesday. He later clarified the deadline: "Tuesday, 8:00 PM Eastern Time!"

He also announced a Monday press conference in the Oval Office with U.S. military officials. This latest threat comes after repeated warnings from Trump to target Iran's critical infrastructure and energy sector if Tehran does not accept a truce or reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
